Social Squad

Kids Club Social Squad

A fun, interest-based way to build friendships, confidence, and social skills!

Keep in mind that Kids Club Social Squad is a new club designed for students who would benefit from developing and practicing social skills in a fun, engaging, and natural way. Rather than focusing solely on direct instruction, students will learn and practice important social skills while participating in activities centered around their interests.

The Kids Club Social Squad is designed to help students build healthy friendships and positive relationships with peers. Developing strong social skills helps children communicate effectively, understand and respond to social cues, navigate new social situations, and develop meaningful connections with others. These skills can also help children feel more comfortable and confident when interacting with peers.

Our Squad Goals

Throughout each 6-week session, students will interact with peers who share similar interests while learning, practicing, and having fun with our Squad Goals:

  • Communication: Using eye contact, body language, listening skills, and our words to share thoughts and ideas.
  • Empathy: Learning to understand and consider how others may be feeling or thinking.
  • Teamwork: Learning how to cooperate, share ideas, take turns, and work together.
  • Conflict Resolution: Learning how to work through disagreements, solve problems, and find solutions.
  • Manners: Practicing kindness and using polite words such as please and thank you.
  • Respect for Diversity: Understanding that we all learn, think, and communicate differently—and that we all matter!
  • Self-Control: Learning to pause, think, and make positive choices before we act.
  • Self-Confidence & Assertiveness: Building confidence to express our thoughts, needs, and ideas in respectful ways.
  • Patience: Learning to be patient with ourselves and with others.
  • Positivity: Developing a positive attitude toward learning, friendships, and new experiences.
